1.The test and analysis of white and color electroretinogram(ERG)and color vision(FM 100 hue)in 49 eyes(27 eases)with aging macular degeneration(AMD)were performed.

2.METHODS:The fundus fluorescein angiography(FFA),visual acuity,FM 100 hue test and photopic electroretinogram(ERG)were used to examine a series of 60 patients(111 eyes)with dry AMD aged 50～80 years with the visual acuity of≤1.0.The patients were fellowed up in 3～74 months(average 30.2 months).

3.The assessment of experimental results from subjective visual effect and objective statistical analysis indicates that the proposed scheme has better performance in preserving the spectral characteristics of the multispectral images,while improving the spatial resolution,than the conventional image fusion methods such as the methods based on HIS(hue-intensity-saturation) transform,PCA,and wavelet transform(WT).
